All the Boys - Need your help

I've been getting some major help and suggestions from Tecknowoman - HUGE KUDOS - she is totally awesome, everyone should be beating down her door to secure her services.

One of her suggestions was to review the XXXTC site for navigation and ease of use.

So Boys take off your business hat and take a look at the site from a purely "male" perspective with the object being you want to book strippers and/or toppys.

1. Did you find what you wanted easily/quickly?
2. Did you understand the choices of shows?
3. Was it all too hard so you figured you would just call or go look elsewhere?

Also, can give me a gauge on readability? I've tried to keep it simple and in plain terms. I do have some ideas for changes, but don't want to start anything until I get your feedback.

You've not done a bad job of this for an amateur website! Plenty of call to actions, and most of the pages flow through to the booking page. My feedback:
- The Topless Waitress page has no flow - images should link to profiles then on to booking
- Under the stripped profiles, make the "Book ... Now" link much more prominent.
- Your booking page should be a form, not an email address

Language: 5/5
No issue here! I think most males are going to relate to the language used.

Readability: 4/5
Most of the areas (important ones anyway) are readable. The white-on-print heading/logo doesn't work well. And the sub-menus on the left (pink on grey) isn't great either, bit small.

Relationship Building: 0/5
No newsletter signup form or links through to social media

Navigation: 4/5
Navigation is easily to follow, however I would design it differently. The menu gets quite large (e.g. under Female Strippers), and most of the links are pretty well irrelevant - I doubt many people are going to click through on names versus pictures. I'd dump them, and introduce a breadcrumb.

Task Depth: 3/5
This is mostly fine, but in some cases it seems you click around in circles. The biggest issue though is the booking page; provide your contact details AND a web form.

Affordance: 3/5
- Images under 'Topless Waitresses' aren't linked, but they are under 'Female Strippers'.
- Images scrolling in the banner up the top should link to the girls profile, not to the image on photobucket.

Load Time: 5/5
No worries here.

Aesthetics: 2/5
It's an amateur website, and it looks it. Certainly not the worst I've seen though! Just remember that the appearance you show people (online and offline), does influence their ultimate purchasing decision.

Branding: 3/5
Drop the name at the top of the page, it's not needed. Move you're <h1> tag down into your body.

Total score: 31/50

You've done well to create an effective website, something a lot of DIY website fail dismally at. There's a few suggestions above you can implement to improve it, but you would greatly benefit from a professional website as well.

Thanks for the input Chris, many of the issues you mention I am painfully aware of, and have not been addressed due to my lack of skill to implement change coupled with my financial shackling hindering my using a professional.

Toppy galleries are an industry-wide pain in the butt, most of the girls only do it on the side from a regular job, so you are lucky to even get one pic of them, let alone enough to make up a profile. This should reasonably be addressed along with other image related issues when I get the photo shoot project underway and completed.

Click around in circles is a shortcoming of my design abilities. Within the next 6mths or so when the domain network is complete, this will all be taken care of by someone who has a clue - ie NOT ME

I'm heartened that at least its not a giant piece of poo and complete waste of cyber space. Some big things are coming and I can't wait to share them with my new found SBF family.

Marianne, the extra images would help - but a new website wouldn't be a bandaid. The benefits of having a professionally designed website and the effect it will have on your brand, will be just a start. But probably more importantly for you, every website we do we rip apart your competition and raise the bar on them in SEO-terms. The sooner you act, the sooner you start gaining ranks on them.

With 6,600 local monthly searches on "melbourne strippers" - I would certainly be looking at how to dominate that market!

And as for convincing your girls to give you more photos - just tell them: You're seeing a trend that the girls with the most photos on the website seem to get picked the most. The prospect of extra work will surely get them moving!
