The dog looks pretty sad to me. Sometimes my dog Winston gets that look and I have to stop what I am doing and play with him. A happy dog is an attractive dog. Here is Winston's facebook page if you are looking for a laugh. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/...00001618629429

As I read this post, let me share one of my favorite motto, "If you want to go fast go alone, if you "If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far, go together"- Old african proverb. Going back, the logo of the org to your website will show that you are one of the accredited pet companies out there.

Here's my two cents worth as a graphic designer and pet lover - it's on the right track, but... while I like the simplicity of the individual silhouettes, I'd say there are too many elements. Also, there's too much blue, making the entire image fiddly to decifer with a quick glance (which is all most people will give it). Try it with just the dog and 2 other shapes, using a different colour for each. I've knocked up a {very rough} pic below to show you what I mean, also note how the overall shape looks like a cat or dog with ears. Also, before reading the text, the nature of the organisation is unclear - my intial thought was it's about animal welfare (see Matthew's comment, the dog looks a bit sad), but going by the name it sounds like an association for people in the pet care industry so perhaps the logo could convey that better.

I am not the PIAA. Nor do I support the PIAA as I detest their stance on allowing pets to be sold in pet shops. You may want to submit the above to them for consideration.

I wasn't looking for new logos as I am not the PIAA. I was just after "at a glance" what people thought the symbol represented.

My apologies GC pets, I went by your original question, which being in the "reviews" section, looked like a request for feedback on the logo itself. Guess I'm always thinking like a designer... If you've since found out the association supports puppy farms, then I'm with you all the way - don't join. I'm sure there are other industry associations out there with higher principles. I think having a badge on your website from such an organisation will give you some extra credibility, just like an accountant with the MYOB accredited branding on their website.
