    Facebook bringing The Social Inbox

    http://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=452288242130

Facebook are flexing their social muscles here, and it's quite a large threat to Gmail. While Gmail have the edge in functionality and power, they don't have access to the social power of Facebook (yet).

I do like the fact that they're collaborating communication though. It no longer matters what medium you wish to communicate via, it all ends up in the same place.

    On the topic of Facebook:

How would you monitor how effective and useful the Facebook business page is (e.g. traffic, page views, visiting the business website from a link on the Facebook page)?

Do you need to purchase this data/analysis from Facebook or do you need to monitor this from your own website (i.e. where users are visiting from)?

Would be interested to hear what other's experiences are with maintaining a Facebook page.

    Cheers.

I actually quote like the way Facebook has set up their chat thing - although I wouldn't use it for business related activities for the simple reason that I don't have business contacts on Facebook!
