    Please review my website

    Hi everyone,

    Looking for some feedback on my website, design, copy, layout,
    overall impression, what ever else you've got.

    We are repairing paint work on cars, which involves, removing & polishing down scratches & marks, faded paint, touching up stone chips & paint protection.

    Hi,

    Overall I think it's a great site, and I really like the design and colour scheme that you've chosen. I also really like that you have incorporated a good range of before & after shots as they can be really powerful. I just have a few comments:

    * You say that "we come to you" but there are people out there that are uncomfortable having people they don't know coming to their homes. Do you also have a location that people could come to - or is it only "we come to you"?

    * You have included a photo (presumably yours) on the home page, which is great as it's always a good idea to let people know who the face behind the business is - but, I'd continue on that theme a little more, even if it's just including your name which I couldn't find anywhere. I'd want to know who I was dealing with...

    Anyway, that's just my two cents worth :-)

    Hi App,

    I honestly can't fault your site - the layout is simple and clean, it's easy to navigate, there are plenty of calls to action and your contact details are quite visible.

    Thanks for the feed back. I like the website, someone said they got lost & didn't no what I was selling.
    I think they didn't no what they were looking for. All good anyway .

    Thanks Chris

    I agree, neat & clear design. Colours work well. I like how you have the phone number clearly displayed in the top right corner. Have you seen more calls come through as a result of the new design?

    I will have to apologize first if I am too critical; when I look at a website it must be beyond nice colours and pictures, don't get me wrong, nice pictures and clolours help but for a website to serve its purpose it has to be more than that.

    Please correct me if I am wrong, I do not believe your website is intended for your current or offline clients, more so for you to create new leads and future potential customers. A simple keyword check reveals your keyword position as follows in Google search results

    auto paint protection - Position #2
    paint protection - Position #29
    paint correction - Position #43
    paint restoration - Position #18
    car - Position > #300
    automotive - Position > #300
    auto - Position > #300

    What does all these means?

    Google is doing such a good job in returning relevant results, you can somehow expect the following share of traffic depending on your position of the search results, it is approximately as follows

    Position #1 => 42%
    Position #2 => 12%
    Position #3 => 9%
    Position #4 => 6%
    Position #5 => 5%
    Position #6 => 4%
    Position #7 => 3%
    Position #8 => 3%
    Position #9 => 3%
    Position #10 => 3%
    Position #11+ => 10%

    In other words, for example your "auto paint protection" have 58 exact searches monthly in Australia, out of this 58, you can expect ~ 25 clicks (42% of 58) to your site if you are on position #1, and ~ 7 visitors if you are on position #2, which means you are leaving money on the table and your website is not working as hard for you. You are potentially losing ~ 18 potential customers.

    It is no longer good enough to be on page 1 of Google, you will need to be on position #1

    Secondly, unless you are a national company you will not be interested in searches for "auto paint protection" by someone in Sydney. I will suggest that you incorporate "Melbourne" into your keywords, after all you are only interested for potential clients that is residing in Melbourne, are you? This is a very common mistakes even by SEO experts.

    Thirdly, if I were you, I will also incorporate a name squeeze to capture your visitors name, mobile phone number and email. Your visitor will more likely to provide the info if you are to offer something of value in return, like a discount on their first order. With this, you can then contact them whenever or during your lean capacity with an offer. You can also potentially make your online marketing viral by getting your visitors to introduce their friends, also with some offer. Look at in as your new customer acquisition cost, in a long run you will have a higher whole of life value for each of your customers. Nothing beats a good word of mouth.

    ... just my 3 cents worth.

    Try googling "paint protection" you will see the top 10 positions are dominated by; I believe your competitors, and you are nowhere there, in fact you are at position ~ #23 (Australia) for this keyword. Your share of traffic for this keyword is about 1 or 2 a month if you are lucky, compare yours to http://www.platinumpaintprotection.com/ which I believe they are getting more or less 370 leads from their website a month out of the ~ 880 local monthly exact searches for "paint protection".

    Just for the fun of it, below are the monthly exact searches in Australia for your keywords;

    auto paint protection => 58
    paint protection => 880
    paint correction => 36
    paint restoration => 16
    car => 27,100
    automotive => 1,000
    auto => 1,300

    You have quite a few useless keywords ie especially your last three keywords which are too generic.

    My advice is focus and focus on getting to #1 for "paint protection" as it is a more profitable keyword than "auto paint protection", just imagine the potential of 370 new leads from your site month after month. To put it into perspective, if your conversion is 20% you will be looking at ~ 70 new customers a month or about two or three a day on a 26 work month attributed from your site.

    And yes, online marketing 101 strategies; you will also need to be able to measure the number of new leads from your website otherwise your site is nothing more than nice pictures and colours on the net ... maybe it may boost your ego a little because you are now online but how does your site contribute to your business bottomline .... ego or bottomline? The choice is your.

    Do the maths yourself, anything less meant you are leaving money to your competitors.

    You may wish to ask yourself this question - Why is www.platinumpaintprotection.com/ number #1 on google organic (unpaid) search and yet thay also advertise on Adsense (paid advert)? ... because their website is working hard for their bottom line, is yours?

    Well I may be wrong, after all I am nothing more than a cheapskate homemaker .... also I hope you are not offended in anyway. Best wishes.

    Hi there

    I think the design and layout of your site is good, but unfortunately the best looking site in the world doesn't bring traffic to your site and traffic means sales. I think you need a better keyword spread to capture a wider range of searchers. I did a quick analysis of keywords suited to your market and found that "car paint protection" has 10x more searches per month than "auto paint protection" so it would make sense to optimise your site for that keyword, and others.

    I would be happy to provide a free SEO analysis of your site with a comprehensive report on the on-page and off-page factors of your site affecting your rankings, this would give you details of what you need to do to improve your rankings and ultimately, sales.

    I also noticed you have very little in the way of backlinks, which are vital in increasing your rankings.

    pm me or contact me through my website WorkHorseWebPages.com.au if you would like the free SEO analysis and I can also give you some advice on backlinking

    cheers,

    Dominic

    My campaign promise was at least one keyword will be on page #1 of SERP.
