I've had a few invites but haven't signed up. Seems like another Branch Out flop to me - flare for a few days then die.

Referral Key has been around since 2007. If it were going to flop, it would have done so by now; 4 years is relatively mature for a website.
Having said that, compared to linked-in, it's not a major player in the business networking sites. It has a high Alexa rank and shows decent traffic volume though.

And Search Engine Optimisation chews up the rest.
